The Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony was held at the Acrisure Arena on May 21st, 2024. For those who were unable to attend in person, the video link capturing the essence and grandeur of the graduation ceremony is now available for your viewing pleasure.
The commencement program includes the President's message and the conferral of degrees and certificates. Within its pages, you will find the names of each graduate, forever etched as a testament to their remarkable journey and accomplishment.

To apply for graduation, follow these steps:
1. Verify your eligibility and review the graduation requirements through your Self-Service portal. If your intended program is not reflected, please submit a declare/change major request.
2. Consult your academic counselor for guidance and ensure completion of all necessary coursework.
3. Submit the degree or certificate application by the specified deadline, including any required official documents that will be used towards your progress.
4. Stay informed about updates and events through your official MyCOD student email.
5. Begin exploring post-graduation options and consider your future career goals.
Graduates who have filed for graduation by the deadline will have their degree and/or certificate conferred onto their academic transcripts within 6-8 weeks after all final grades have been posted.
Students may review their awards by viewing their unofficial transcript within the Self-Service portal.

Diplomas will be mailed to the address indicated on the graduation application within 12 weeks after all final grades have been posted. Diplomas are mailed to the address indicated on the graduation application.
Students will receive an email confirmation from Parchment to their MyCOD student email address when their diploma is ready for mailing. Students will have 72 hours from their confirmation email to review their shipping address for changes.

For address updates prior to receiving the Parchment confirmation, please contact the Admissions & Records office by emailing enrolls@Collegeofthedesert.edu using your MyCOD student email. Please include your name, student ID number, photo ID for identity verification, and full address information.

*Please note that replacement diplomas may only be processed if a student has already been sent their original award. Students who have yet to receive their original will be ineligible for online diploma orders. Please refer to the 'When will I receive my diploma?' section above.
College of the Desert prioritizes transfer students for degree conferral and transcript processing to meet transfer deadlines. Students are recommended to verify the deadline with their transfer school and submit their transcript order at least 2 weeks beforehand to ensure timely processing.
Students may order official College of the Desert transcript by using the following link: COD Transcript Order. Students may request to place the order on hold for processing until the degree or certificate is posted onto their record (optional).
