Petition to Repeat a Course

Repeat a Class For a Third Time

Students who have received a grade of D, F, NP, NC, or W two times in the same course will be required to submit a Repeat a Class Petition. If approved, students will be limited to the three enrollment attempts in a course when the following grades have been received: F, D, NP, NC, and/or W.

What does this mean?

  • Students who have enrolled in the same course three times have reached the maximum number of enrollments and will not be permitted to enroll in that same course again.

  • Drops that result in an EW grade will not count towards this limitation.

  • This policy does not affect repeatable courses (courses that can be taken more than one time for credit). Please refer to the college catalog for additional information.

Repeat a Class After Receiving a Passing Grade

Students are not eligible to repeat any course for which they have been granted a grade of "C" or better except where special circumstances exist which justify repeating the course. Please review the petition form below for additional requirements and guidelines.

If approved, students will be limited to the three enrollment attempts. Students who have enrolled in the same course three times have reached the maximum number of enrollments and will not be permitted to enroll in that same course again.
