Language Lab

The TASC Language Lab provides supplemental support for students learning American Sign Language, Japanese, French, Spanish, and English-as-a-Second Language. The lab plunges students into a rich and interactive language environment with over 200 computer-based CD/DVD ROM programs, Live Lab conversation groups, and tutoring services.

A state-of-the-art language facility, the TASC Language Lab is a place where students work at their own pace to develop and practice grammar, vocabulary, listening, and communicative skills in their target language. The campus Lab is used by students enrolled in Foreign Language courses, American Sign Language, Credit and Non-Credit English-as-a-Second Language courses, and the Intensive English Academy to supplement classroom instruction. Tutoring is also available for most languages.

BONUS: You don't have to be enrolled in a foreign language class  in order to use the Language Lab! If you are enrolled in any credit class at CoD, you can use the lab to practice any of the languages taught at CoD, including English-as-a-Second Language (ESL). So, if you want to practice French one day and Spanish on another; or, if you need English pronunciation and/or grammar practice, just drop by the lab on the Hilb second floor, room 228.
