Additional TASC Services
In addition to tutoring services and academic skills resources, TASC also offers a variety of additional services to support student learning for all currently enrolled students. *Services/equipment vary by site. Please contact TASC locations for more information.
Available for students:
- Open Study Space
- Study Rooms with whiteboards and markers.
Study Room Policies
- Study rooms are available for currently enrolled COD students (individuals or groups) and are to be utilized for academic use only.
- Inappropriate behavior and/or excessive noise is not permitted and will result in your removal from the study room. Please respect those studying around you by keeping noise levels at a reasonable volume.
- No open drinks or excessive amounts of food are allowed in study rooms. Only drinks in covered containers and individual wrapped snacks may be permitted.
- TASC staff routinely monitors all study rooms. TASC staff reserves the right to enter any study room at any time and for any reason.
- Whiteboard supplies are available for student use in each study room. Additional and replacement supplies are available from TASC staff at the front desk.
- Please do not leave any valuables unattended in the study rooms at any time. TASC staff is not responsible for lost or damages personal property.
- When your study room reservation is concluded, please wipe clean all whiteboards, place trash in the trash bins outside of the study rooms, and push in all chairs before leaving your study room.
- Violation of any study room use policy may result in the loss of your study room use privileges.
*Note: Study Rooms are only available for use at the Palm Desert location. Reservations for study rooms can be made online or at the Palm Desert TASC.

- Computers are available for academic use.
- Free printing for class/study related material.

Available for students to check-out for use in the TASC:
- Science study tools such as molecular sets, anatomy models, etc.
- Whiteboards/Expo markers
- Webcam and headphones
- Calculators
- Laptop for tutoring services

TASC Staff and Faculty are also available to answer your questions for a variety of academic purposes including:
- Canvas Navigation
- Basic Computer Navigation
- Software Navigation such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Basic Study Skills
- MLA/APA General Formatting
