  • Headcount

    This section contains information about the unduplicated number of students by various demographics for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19.

  • Enrollment

    This section contains information about student enrollments by various demographics for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19. Enrollments reflect the number of seats taken and is also referred to as duplicated headcount.

  • Student Outcomes

    This section contains information about student success in courses (i.e., received a grade of A, B, C, or Pass) and student retention in courses (i.e., received a grade other than a W or DR) for every course for every semester for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19.

    The section also contains information about student completions (degrees and certificates awarded) as well as transfer rates.

SECTION 3 - EMPLOYEE INFORMATION

  • Employee Headcount

    This section contains information about the Desert Community College District employees by various demographics, such as age and gender.

  • Employees by Employee Category

    This section contains information about the Desert Community College District employees by employee category (i.e., faculty, administration, classified).

SECTION 4 - FACT BOOK NON-CREDIT

College of the Desert offers non-credit classes in the areas of English as a Second Language (ESL Non-Credit), Adult Basic Education (ABE/HSD/GED), Academic Skills Center (ASC), and Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS). These non-credit classes are not for college credit (have zero credit units) and they are graded with Pass (CR/P) and No Pass (NC/NP) grades.

  • Headcount

    This section contains information about the unduplicated number of non-credit students by various demographics for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19. Students enrolled in non-credit classes only (carrying zero credit units) are included in this section.

  • Enrollment

    This section contains information about student enrollments in non-credit classes by various demographics for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19. Enrollments reflect the number of seats taken and is also referred to as duplicated headcount.

  • Student Outcomes

    This section contains information about student success in non-credit courses for every non-credit course for every semester for the academic years 2014-15 to 2018-19.

    Success rate in non-credit courses is the percent of students who received a passing grade of CR/P in non-credit course out of total students who received any grade in that course (CR/P, NC/NP, and W), as reported in the Datatel. The rate is not adjusted for the DR grades (drop after census grades are not reported in the Datatel), and it should be used for the comparison only.
