$5 Textbook Rental Program

Thanks to the generous donations from the COD Friends of the Library and the Lisa Wendel Foundation, select textbooks are now available to students at a discounted rate. 

• Students can rent textbooks from the Palm Desert Campus library 
• Students must be enrolled in a class that is offering a $5 textbook to be eligible
• Textbooks operate on a first-come, first serve basis so act fast!

See the textbook you need on the list? Here's how you can rent it for the semester!

1. Request a voucher from the library at the Palm Desert Campus. You will need to present your student ID (digital or physical) and proof of enrollment in the class the book is for (ex: Canvas page, class schedule, email from the professor, etc.) to receive a voucher from the library. 
2. After receiving the voucher from the library, go to the Bursar's Office located in the Cravens Student Service Center.
3. Present the voucher along with your physical credit/debit card to the Bursar's Office. Apple Pay/Venmo/Zelle/PayPal etc. will not be accepted. Cash can be accepted but you still must present a credit/debit card and fill out a card authorization form. 
4. Once you have filled out the card authorization form, you will receive a copy of the agreement and a receipt of payment from the Bursar's Office, which you can take to the library to receive your textbook. 

To avoid being charged the full book cost, textbooks must be returned during the week of December 16-20.
