ASCOD Applications

The ASCOD Student Senate Officer and Senator applications for the 2022-2023 school year will open up on April 4, 2022. Please review the ASCOD Bylaws, Constitution, important dates and details below.

As the peer advocates for the students of College of the Desert, ASCOD strives to promote higher education, a sense of community, diversity, student engagement and act as your liaison to the COD faculty, administration and state. ASCOD exists to ensure that the needs of the students are enhanced and met in order to better serve, as well as helping to make student's College of the Desert experience a memorable one.

Requirements Checklist

  1. Must have completed a minimum of (1) semester at College of the Desert, with at least (6) graded units.​
  2. Must be currently enrolled at College of the Desert in at least (6) paid units and 2.5 cumulative GPA for Executive Officers and a 2.0 for Senators.
  3. Availability every Monday from 2-4:00 p.m. for ASCOD Student Senate meetings.​

Important Application and Election Dates

Applications Open: April 4, 2022

Students may begin submitting applications starting at 9:00am. Use link below to complete the online application.

Applications Deadline: April 28, 2022

    Applications are due by 5:00pm.

Campaigning: May 5, 2022

Eligible candidates will be notified and may begin campaigning on May 5th. Campaigning rules and guidelines can be found in the ASCOD application packet.

Election Voting: May 10 - 12, 2022

Winners will be notified through email. Official results will be shared with the college and announced at a later date.
