General Education Credit Classes

Credit courses are designated as either associate degree credit courses or non-degree credit courses. Associate degree credit courses may be used as required or elective courses in a degree or certificate program. Students must complete the course requirements as specified in their program of study for their declared major as well as general education courses in order to earn an Associate's Degree. See Catalogs and Schedules for a complete listing of General Education courses.

Concurrent and Dual Enrollment Courses

The College has partnered with Palm Springs Unified School District to offer a Concurrent Enrollment - Dual Credit Program of study. This program allows students to use earn high school credit while earning college credits. The courses offered through COD at the high school may be transferable to the UC or CSU university systems. The program intent is to provide educational enrichment opportunities for a limited number of eligible high school students, rather than to reduce current course requirements of secondary schools, and also to help ensure a smoother transition from high school to college by providing students with greater exposure to the collegiate atmosphere. If you have questions, please contact the counseling center at your local high school.
