Director Mentors serve any existing or aspiring early childhood program director in center-based or family child care in the Coachella Valley and can assist with an array of topics from budgeting and personnel and curriculum design and marketing.
The College of the Desert Mentor Program has determined it will keep the Mentor and Director Mentor application process open year round. We will meet twice a year, in January and in April to review applications.
The Director Mentor Institutes are presented around California each year by staff of the California Early Childhood Mentoring Program.

She will contact you to arrange a Director Mentor to work with you.

If you are a Family Child Care Program director or owner, you may receive technical assistance also if you serve children from birth to three years of age. If you are interested in this assistance, complete the Birth to 3 Family Child Care Homes Director Mentor Request and submit it to the COD Mentor Coordinator at the address listed at the bottom of this page.
If you wish to apply to become a Director Mentor, first attend a Director Mentor Institute. Then complete the Director Mentor Preliminary Application and the requested documents and send to the Mentor Coordinator whose address is at the bottom of this page.
