Riverside County Public Health Department issued a mandate closing all community colleges, preschools, K-12 public, private and charter schools, and universities in the county between March 16 and June 19, 2020.

The Board of Trustees adopted a state of emergency proclamation, which provides authority to President Kinnamon to take actions necessary to ensure the continuation of education while protecting the health and safety of the students and staff.

Officials announced the cancellation of the 2020 Stepping Out for COD gala starring Matthew Morrison, due to the COVID-19 virus today. The event was originally set to take place on Saturday, March 28 at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert.
