Whether you have ever fallen in love with an ass (donkey), a star-crossed lover for the weekend, or the person of your dreams, the Theatre Department at College of the Desert’s version of Shakespeare’s ”A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a performance you won’t want to miss.
Directed by Denis McCourt Stryjewski, this adaptation will take you on the adventures of a “lost weekend,” when the mayhem of the fairies and the characters we have come to know all cross paths with our human need to be in and find love.
In lieu of a forest, the audience will be transported into the magic of a 1970s disco. So, put on your platform shoes and hustle on down to College of the Desert’s Pollock Theatre on the Palm Desert Campus.
Showtimes are March 17, 18, 24, 25 at 7 p.m. and March 19 & 26 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for students and $20 general for the general public.
