College of the Desert Offers Study Abroad Opportunity in Japan
The Hospitality Management program at College of the Desert is offering its first study-abroad class beginning on April 10, 2023!
Leadership and Management in the Hospitality Industry, BUHM-011, is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the hospitality industry while studying in partnership with students in Japan.
The class culminates with a 7-10-day trip to Japan. Students will meet with hospitality industry leaders, compare and contrast how the hospitality industry is viewed in the U.S.A. vs. Japan, and expand their learning about tourism.
The class is open to current Hospitality Management, Culinary, and Business program majors. Enrollment is based on the final approval of the instructor and is limited to 15 students. The estimated course/program participation fee is $500, subject to change.
Students must attend an online information session hosted on Zoom. Parents are welcome to attend these meetings, and Spanish translation services will be available.
