NASA Aerospace Scholars Program Now Open

NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars Application is now open

For the second year, College of the Desert in collaboration with NASA, will be participating in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program!

This opportunity is open to all students from all majors, including U.S. citizens, residents, DACA or undocumented students.

The NCAS program consists of two phases:

Phase I consists of a five-week online class that will take place during January and February. This class will consist of learning about different NASA missions, Astrobiology, the International Space Station, among other topics.

Phase II consists of a robotics competition, where students will build and program a rover to do different tasks. No previous experience is necessary. You will learn everything you need during the course. The dates for Phase II are still yet to be determined.

NASA is looking for an array of majors beyond the traditional STEM majors, so all students are welcome to apply.

More information and the application can be found at https://nas.okstate.edu/ncas-campus/.
