Free SunBus Rides
Great news! All students enrolled at College of the Desert can use their new student ID cards to ride the SunBus for free.
SunLine Transit Agency and College of the Desert are partnering to provide students unlimited
SunBus rides as part of SunLine’s new Haul Pass program. In addition to transportation to and from College of the Desert, students can make
unlimited local fixed route transit trips any day of the week for work and entertainment.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled at College of the Desert. Students will
use their active student ID card by swiping them through the SunBus card reader on
the fare box. Should you require assistance, bus operators can help.
Students who have yet to obtain their college ID cards can call the Office of Student
Life at 760.862.1317, or stop by the office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Thursday. You will need to show some form of photo ID (either a driver’s license,
state-issued ID, or a recent high school photo ID) as well as your official class
schedule or registration statement to confirm enrollment. You can show either of these
on your phones or on the computers in the Office of Student Life.
