We are pleased that you are interested in the Nurse Assistant Program at College of the Desert (COD). The Program is approved by the California Department of Health Services. The Nurse Assistant course (HS 064) is usually offered each fall and spring semester and currently has no application process for entry. Register as you would for any other class offered at COD. Class size is currently limited to 15 and fills quickly.
Individuals who meet any one of the following criteria are eligible to enroll at COD:
1. graduated from high school, or
2. passed the CA high school proficiency exam, or
3. passed the GED, or
4. are 18 or older and can benefit from instruction
Students who are under 18 cannot enroll at COD unless they are admitted into COD under the special admission rules for currently enrolled high school students. If they are under 18 and not in high school they cannot even enroll in the GED program until they are within 60 days of their 18th birthday.
