Data For Success

This page contains links to various data resources faculty and staff can use to help assess student success and identify gaps in student achievement. This page is a work in progress and will be added to as new data sources are identified by the Guided Pathways Team. 

  • ​College of the Desert's Institutional Research Office provides myriad data sources on our student population. Data can be access on retention, success, and persistence through the Institutional Research page. 

  • The California Community College's Student Success Metrics provides data on student outcomes of California's community college students. There is information available on adult and ESL students and short-term career education​ students as well as data on more traditional students. 

  • ​The California Community College's LaunchBoard provides detailed data on CTE students. Any faculty can request log in access using the college email address. 

  • The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office provides detailed data on students through it Management Information Systems Data Mart. Information about all college's statewide is available and information related to varied demographics is available. 

  • Both the University of California and California State University systems provide data related to students who transfer to their campuses. Both the UC enrollment data and the CSU enrollment data can show how many COD students transfer to which campuses. 

  • IPEDS is from the National Center for Education Statistics and can provide data on a national level, including details on retention and graduation rates and financial aid students use. 

  • ​​The State of California's Employment Development Department provides extensive Labor Market Data​, which can help us establish programs that will lead students to gainful employment. 

  • ​Payscale's College Salary Report provides data on what students can expect to earn upon completion of their degree.​
