Laptop Plan
College of the Desert offers a Laptop Plan for Students, Faculty, and Staff who wish to purchase a laptop reasonably. The two laptop options include: a Chromebook for $322.17 or an HP laptop for $537.67. (Prices include sales tax and a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Shipping is free.)
Students
Students can enroll in our Student Laptop Plan by signing up with one of the following options.
Please read the details of each option and select the option that is most appropriate for you.
Authorization for Laptop Plan 2020-2021
Students should select this option if you wish to have your excess financial aid disbursement pay for the laptop. Please note if there are changes to your financial aid package, you will still be responsible for the laptop fees.
Authorization for Laptop Plan Personal Purchase 2020-2021
Select this option to pay in full or pay off the balance by the end of the semester in increments that meet your budget.
All forms must be submitted to CODComputerPlan@collegeofthedesert.edu from your MyCod email address.
Forms submitted from non-COD email addresses will not be approved.
For assistance in accessing your MyCOD email, please contact an Enrollment Services Representative at 760-776-7200, or via email at OffCampusSites@collegeofthedesert.edu.
Once your authorization form has been processed; the College bookstore will update you with how and when you will receive your laptop. It takes two business days for the form to be processed, and approximately two weeks to receive your device.

Faculty and Staff
Employee Payroll Deduction Authorization for Laptop Plan 2020-2021
Faculty and Staff may choose this option if they wish to pay for the devices in three monthly installments.
All forms must be submitted to CODComputerPlan@collegeofthedesert.edu from your COD email address. Forms submitted from non-COD email addresses will not be processed.
Once your authorization form has been processed. It takes two business days for the form to be processed, and approximately two weeks to receive your device.
