CalWORKs Counseling Services

Phone and Online CalWORKs Counseling

Welcome to College of the Desert’s CalWORKs Counseling Services! Our Counselors are available for academic counseling through phone and online appointments. You may choose your preferred appointment method from the following options:

  • Phone – Counselor will call you at the phone number you provide.

  • Online – Counselor will email you instructions for accessing your Zoom or Cranium Café meeting. If you are using a mobile phone, you will need to have the free Zoom app downloaded prior to the appointment.

Scheduling Your Counseling Appointment

  • Please email CalWORKs at cwstudentworker@collegeofthedesert.edu​ to request an appointment. Please include your preferred type of appointment (phone or online).

  • You can also call us at (760) 862-1343. When you call be sure to leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • CalWORKs students must meet with a CalWORKs Counselor once a month during the semester to receive services and priority registration.
