​Counseling

New Student Orientations are now online.  Go to the home web page, click on "Getting Started" (again), and this time go to Step 5 - Orientation.

The Counseling Center is seeing students drop-in basis now until the September 15 and on. Students who need a Financial Aid-required Student Educational Plan (SEP) must make an appointment at 760-773-2521.  All other SEPs will have to wait until the 3rd week of September or after.  Semester plans are available on a drop-in basis.

*Beginning September 15th, Tuesdays will open at 9:30am. So Counseling hours will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am - 5:30pm, Tuesday from 9:30am - 5:30pm, and Friday from 8:00am - 12:00 noon.

Due to the high volume of students, the drop-in list may be closed earlier than 5:30pm Monday through Thursday, and earlier than 12:00pm on Friday.

Eastern Valley Counseling
 
Counselors are also available at the Eastern Valley Center in Indio and the Mecca/Thermal campus. To schedule an appointment at EVC Indio, please call 760-776-7200.  To schedule an appointment at the Mecca/Thermal campus, please call 760-396-2010 to make an appointment.
 

Transfer Students
 
If you are transferring to COD from another college, you will need to meet with a counselor to verify prerequisites and possibly waive orientation and the assessment test, even if you have submitted official transcripts to Admissions & Records.
