Probation Information

To remain in good academic standing College of the Desert students are expected to maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete at least 50% of the courses they have attempted.  Students who fall below these standards are subject to academic and/or progress probation.  Students who remain on probation for more than two consecutive semesters are subject to disqualification from attending COD.

As a result of being on probation or disqualification students will lose their priority enrollment status and be allowed to register during open enrollment.  To regain their priority status students who are on probation/disqualification will be required to do the following:

-Attend one (1) probation workshop


-Complete two (2) student success, scholarship, or career workshops* (offered again in Fall semester)

-Complete a Progress Report  (Progress Report Form)
(Student Instructions:  Complete the Progress Report Form by filling out the following sections:   Name, Student ID#, Semester/Year, Course and Instructor.  Then take this form to all intructors of all the courses for which you are registered.)


-Meet with a counselor to review all completed forms
