DESERT Wins 14th State Championship! College of the Desert Men's Tennis team won an unprecendented 13th State Championship, beating Northern California's Fresno City College 5-1 in the State Final. "It was a great season. We were lucky to not have any injuries and I'm very excited about our success," Schroeder said.

Two weeks earlier at the prestigious Ojai Valley Championships COD won its 14th Team Championship title, "Ojai was a great tournament for us. It gave us a test for what we had coming," Schroeder said. "I was very proud of our team." According to Schroeder, the COD coaching staff is evaluating 2010's recruits and is working toward keeping the tradition of state championship teams alive.
