GED PREPARATION
Registration for Adult Basic Education-GED classes is on an open-entry, space available basis, until the last 6 weeks of the term.
 

NEW STUDENTS 
New students must complete the following steps:
 
1.   Complete the online College of the Desert admission application by going to www.collegeofthedesert.edu and clicking “Getting Started,” and then “Complete Online Application”. 
 
2.   Register for the GED preparation class on WebAdvisor, and pay your fees.
 
3.   All students must attend an orientation prior to starting the class.
 
 
 
CONTINUING/CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS
Continuing students may register at the end of the semester for the next one, by:
 
1.   Clicking My COD on the main web page, then Go to WebAdvisor and choose the appropriate GED Preparation section number for the time and location of the class you want.  Register for sections numbers and pay your fees either through WebAdvisor or at the Bursar's office located in the Craven's Student Service Center on the main floor.
 
 
 
RETURNING STUDENTS 
Returning students must first complete the following steps:
 
1.  When a student has a lapse in attendance of one year or more, the student must complete the online admission application/re-apply, by going to the College of the Desert website (www.collegeofthedesert.edu) and click Getting Started and Apply. 
 
2.  Register for the GED preparation class on WebAdvisor, and pay your fees.
