COD Homecoming Festivities Begin Oct. 10, Roadrunners vs Citrus Oct. 13
College of the Desert’s (COD) Homecoming Festivities begin Wednesday, Oct. 10 with Homecoming Court elections that lead up to the Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Homecoming Court elections begin Homecoming activities on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 10 and11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m.
A tailgate party is planned for Thursday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and burgers, water, and music. Activities have been planned for every half-hour. Both events will be held in the quad area between the Dining Hall and Administration Buildings.
Associated Students of College of the Desert will be decorating the Homecoming Court float on Friday, Oct.12.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Roadrunners play Citrus College on Boone Field at 6 p.m. on the Palm Desert campus. Julie Buehler from 1010 AM Sports Radio will be the announcer for the game. During half-time, students have planned a skit and coronation. The Homecoming Court will be announced and crowned.
COD’s Men’s Golf Team is the 2012 California State Champions and they have been Conference Champions for 25 years in a row. Rings will be presented to the team players and coach.
