Last Scheduled Home Football Game

College of the Desert’s (COD) Roadrunners will play their last scheduled home game against Riverside City College on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.

Many home games have featured themes. The theme for this week’s home game is Military Night. Anyone with military, veteran, or first-responder (police/fire/paramedic) identification will get into the game for free.

The U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard stationed in Twentynine Palms will present the Naval Colors at the opening of the game prior to the National Anthem.

Another new element to home game nights is Heatwave Jazz and Show Band, the Boys & Girls Club youth band. The group will be playing to provide added entertainment and spirit to the game.

The football teams hit the field at 6 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors (over 55) and children under 8 are free. All home games are played on Boone Field near the San Pablo Avenue entrance on the Palm Desert Campus.

Heatwave was formed in 2007 as part of a program by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation to enhance the music program at the Boys & Girls Clubs. Heatwave performs and travels throughout Southern California. Check out their website for dates and locations of their next performances:  http://www.heatwaveband.org/index.php.
