Annual Career and Job Fair Call
for Employer Participation
The Career Center at College of the Desert (COD) is
preparing for the Annual Career and Job Fair on Thursday, March 13, at the Hilb
Center on COD’s Palm Desert Campus. “Our past fairs have been very well
attended and we continue to have our regular participants—many are hiring, and
others welcome the exposure for their business or organization,” stated
Christine Schaefer, COD Counselor/Coordinator Career Center.
Schaefer continued, “This year, we are seeking new businesses and
organizations to be a part of our event, which has traditionally received great
coverage by several of our local television stations. Even if you are not
hiring at this time, it is great exposure for your business and a great
recruiting tool to prepare for the fall hiring season. In addition, your
product or service might inspire our students as they research career choices.”
The event is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no charge for registration
and a light breakfast and lunch are included for up to two representatives.
Each participant is provided with a table and two chairs and help is available
for setting up your space.
