The College of the Desert Dramatic Arts Company has compiled the works of some of the most beloved contemporary comedic writers as part of their new One-Act series, LAUGH LINES, debuting the weekend of February 21st – 23rd on the campus of COD.

The hilarious evening of off-the-wall, charming, riotous fun will include some of the most recognizable works of the playwrights Christopher Durang, David Ives, Seth Kramer, and Shel Silverstein.  Within the series of comedies, the audience will follow the short, yet intense love life of two lowly mayflies, unravel a naughty little murder mystery in a farcical Masterpiece Theatre spoof, witness the deranged warmth of a father’s love, see the “brief” re-telling of a famous Greek tragedy, watch as three hit men try and remember who they are hired to kill, uncover the truth about the past lives of three skyscraper construction workers, discover the miracles of alternative medicine, and observe the deterioration of the not so picture perfect southern family…ALL IN ONE NIGHT!
“We have put together a night of comedies that are unique, witty, and extremely challenging,” says director and sound designer, Noemi Villela Dean. “A show like LAUGH LINES allows us to think outside the box in order to get every possible laugh out of the audience we can.”
