Integrative Learning in Learning Communities
November 16, 2012
Sue Parsons, Director of Cerritos College Teacher TRaining ACademy (Teacher TRAC) and Cerritos College Learning Communities. Faculty brought their SLOs, followed by a short discussion of Integrative Learning within LCs. Attendees planned for at least one integrative assignment across disciplines, using the unpacked course content as a starting point. Q&A followed with Sue.

Educational Access & Justice for All: Learning from Latina/o Teachers & Students

Dr. Gilda Ochoa, Professor of Sociology and Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies at Pomona College.
A recipeint of several teaching awards from UCLA and Pomona College, Dr. Ochoa is currently writing a new book on the experiences of Asian American and Latina/o high school students in a Southern California school. Her previous works include Becoming Neighbors in a Mexican American Community and Learning from Latino Teachers.

Project Success, Learning Communities Workshop
