Emergency Broadcast System

 

The InformaCast, Berbee  broadcast system can also be used for emergency broadcast.  This is a robust, full-featured system that allows users to simultaneously push an audio stream and/or a text message to multiple IP phones, IP Speakers, and paging systems. An administrator can select a prerecorded message or send a live broadcast through either a password-protected web page or the IP phone services menu.  All senior level administrators as well as some Information and Ed Tech staff are trained on this system.  The college also owns internal as well as external speakers that are being in the process of implementation.

 

Any broadcasts may be done by zones. This has been implemented in the library.
