Educational Technologies and Distance Education


  • The committee will make recommendations to the Academic Senate regarding:

    • campus technology issues impacting faculty

    • curriculum, instruction, evaluation, technology, accessibility, infrastructure, and academic support services that affect distance education courses

  • Review and update the campus technology master plan

  • Develop, implement, and review policies pertaining to campus-wide technology and distance education issues

  • Provide ongoing faculty development and consistent support in the areas of pedagogy and technology in order to ensure that faculty who teach distance education courses are able to provide high quality learning environment

Committee Outcomes

  • Continue developing and finalize those already started distance education policies to ensure compliancy with state and federal standards

  • Explore alternatives to ensure that DE faculty are trained in/following Title V DE standards

  • Approve any changes to the Online Teaching Academy and report on its effectiveness

  • Determine which technology offerings should be offered during flex

  • Revitalize trainings at the TLC

  • Expand the use of CCC Confer on campus
