Mission Statement : The mission of the Career Center is to promote student development through advanced career research techniques, sound decision-making principles, as well as the enhancement of meaningful academic and career goals.

From Questions to Careers (Hours are M-Th 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.)

A variety of career workshops, assessments, and credit courses are offered throughout the academic school year. These workshops address the areas of interests, skills, values and personality temperament as they pertain to selecting or changing careers.

Individual career counseling tailored to the individual’s specific needs can be arranged by appointment.

Career exploration available through a variety of computer programs includng an information system known as EUREKA. This extensive library of occupational and educational information includes descriptions of job duties, salary, employment projections, work environment characteristics and job preparation. EUREKA also provides financial aid and school information. Job search strategies are presented. Some of these strategies include networking, discovering the hidden job market, preparing a resume, finding job leads and interviewing.

Job placement services are no longer provided for students through an (EDD) Employment Development Department representative in the Career Center. We have a job board that students my look at and obtain recent openings throughout southern California.
